Quick answers
Buying, in brief.
What grades of shipping containers does A&A Containers sell?
We keep it simple and honest. New (one-trip) containers have made a single cargo trip, so they cost a little less than brand-new but arrive in near-new condition. Grade B used containers are in good condition with minimal dents and rust. Grade C used containers are in fair condition with moderate dents and rust. Both grades are sealed against the weather and lock securely.
What sizes of shipping containers are available for sale?
We sell 10ft, 20ft, 40ft and 40ft High Cube containers. As a guide, they are about 2.44m wide and 2.59m high (the High Cube is taller at 2.90m), with lengths of roughly 3m, 6m and 12m. Not sure which size suits your job? Give us a call and we'll help you work it out.
How much can a 20ft container hold?
As a general guide, a standard 20ft container holds around 33 m³ and carries roughly 21,000 kg. Actual figures vary by container, so chat to us about what you're planning to store and we'll point you to the right one.
How much can a 40ft container hold?
As a general guide, a standard 40ft container holds around 67 m³, and a 40ft High Cube gives you even more room at around 76 m³ thanks to the extra height. These are typical industry figures rather than exact specs, so tell us your load and we'll help you choose.
What can you use a container for once you've bought it?
All sorts. People use them for secure storage, offices, housing and plenty more. Being tough steel, lockable and easy to move, they're a cost-effective, reusable option. And because we convert containers ourselves, we can turn one into almost anything you need.
